Yes, apparently Jenna’s decision not return was made months ago. The timing of it becoming public just as Melissa was fired is baffling.

There are a lot of people claiming Jenna quit because of Melissa getting fired and they are congratulating Jenna for having Melissa's back, really wish people would get their facts right.
